过去几期讨论 to 后面的词何时要用动词的不定式，何时要用名词；今天要讲两个相关而表面上非常相似的词：一个是used to，另一个是 verb-to-be/ get used to。

Used to 是用来表达一些过往的习惯，因此总是以过去时态出现，连接在后面的是一个动词，例如：

I used to like watching movies, but I prefer stage plays these days.我以前很喜欢看电影，但现在偏向舞台剧。

要表达现时的习惯却不可以用 used to 的现在时态 use to，而要采取别的表达方式，例如：

It is my habit to watch movies.

I always watch movies.

I prefer movies to stage plays.

Verb-to-be/get used to 说的是习惯了的事物，可以是以前的、现在的，甚至是将来的，视乎前面出现的时态而定，而在 to 后面的须是名词，例如：

I am used to getting up at 5 am in order to get the earliest train.

I don't like my boyfriend's cooking now, but I believe I shall get used to it.
