如果说剧作家和理论家是电影艺术的“设计师”，那么，北京电影学院文学系便是培育中国电影“设计师”的摇篮；今天，文学系在电影理论与创作技巧研究上已经形成了一整套符合中国国情并居世界前列的教学体系，而文学系的毕业生也一直是中国电影剧本创作的主力军。

Since scriptwriters and theorists can be considered as designers of the film art, Screenwriting Department of Beijing Film Academy now proudly clams itself to be the cradle of Chinese films. Screenwriting Department has established a teaching system which it is advanced and fits perfectly into the Chinese situation, as result its graduates have become a major forces in screenwriting in China.

历史溯源：

1951年，编剧系成立,电影编剧编辑班开始招生；

1952年, 编剧系改称编剧编辑系；

1956年，编剧编辑系改称文学教研组；

1960年，电影编剧编辑本科班开始招生；

1961年，电影文学系成立；

1978年，恢复文学系筹备组成立；

1982年，文学系正式建立；

1985年，首次面向全国高考统招电影剧作本科班，引起社会广泛瞩目；

1987年，电影理论本科班正式开始招生；

1985年，硕士研究生开始招生；

2004年，博士研究生开始招生；

History of Screenwriting Department

1951 Screenwriting Department was founded and began to enroll students.

1985 Undergraduate course of Screenwriting began its nationwild enrollment and gained huge social attention.

1985 Postgraduate course with Master’s Degree began to enroll students

1987 The Undergraduate Program on Film Theories began its offical enrollment of students

2004 Postgraduate course for PHD camdedates began to enroll students

专业设置：

文学系现有影视剧本创作和电影史论两个专业方向。

戏剧影视文学专业：四年制本科、两年制高等职业教育、影视编导创作两年制大专续本科、电影剧作理论与创作三年制硕士研究生；

电影历史及理论专业：四年制本科；电影美学与中国电影史、外国电影史、影视传播理论等若干方向的三年制硕士研究生；在职学习申请硕士学位研究生；三年制博士研究生。

Course Directions ：

Screenwriting Department provides two directions, Screenwriting and Film Theory , which includes four-year Film Literature course with Bachelor’s Degree、two-year professional course、two-year Screenwriting and Directing course with Bachelor’s Degree、three-year Screenwriting and Theory course with Master’s Degree、four-year Film History and Theory course with Bachelor’s Degree、three-year Film Aesthetics course with Master’s Degree、three-year Chinese Film History course with Master’s Degree、three-year Foreign Film History with Mater's Degree、three-year Film Media Theory with Master’s Degree、postgraduate course for adults with Master’s Degree、three-year postgraduate course with Doctor’s Degree

课程设置:

电影剧作概论、电影剧作理论研究、电影剧作理论与技巧、电影美学、电影理论、传播理论、中国电影史、外国电影史、电影大师研究、国别电影研究、类型电影研究、影片分析、短片创作、电视剧理论研究及创作

Curriculum :

An Introduction to Screenwriting Theory、Screenwriting Theory Research、Screenwriting Theory and Skills、Film Aesthetics、Film Theory、Media Theory、Chinese Film History、Foreign Film History、Film Maters’ Research、Different Counties’ Film Research、Genres’ Film Research、Film Analysis、Short Film Production、Teleplay Theory Research and scripwriting.

常年在校博士研究生、硕士研究生、本科生、大专续本科学生及其它各类进修学生达100余人，学成毕业人数逾千名。

Students’ Number :

More than 100 students study in the Film Screenwriting Department each year, including the postgraduates、graduates and continuing and professional students. More than 1,000 students have successfully graduated from the Screenwriting Department.
